Why We Built This Site
Louisiana opens a good deal of court and warrant information to the public, and the records still sit in separate buildings. A warrant begins with a court. The 18th Judicial District Court handles felony and other criminal charges, while Port Allen City Court, the Addis Mayor's Court, and the Brusly Mayor's Court handle their own traffic and ordinance cases. Enforcement sits somewhere else again, with the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Warrant Division serving parish warrants and city police serving municipal ones. Checking a single office can come back empty and still miss a warrant held across the parish. We pull the contact details, record rules, and request steps together so a reader can start in the right spot instead of guessing.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant checks: how to run a warrant check through the offices that actually hold the record
- Active warrants: how to use the active warrant search channels that exist here and what an active status means
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court holds them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in the parish
- Traffic and city cases: how traffic warrants and city court warrants stay with the municipal court that issued them
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Louisiana court, sheriff's office, or state agency, and there are real limits on what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm a warrant for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or take payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender or a court date
- We cannot give legal advice about a specific case
- We cannot promise that every number, fee, or listing here is current today
Only the court that issued a warrant or the sheriff's office that holds it can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled. We point you to the right office, and the answer comes from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry search boxes run by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services, and we may earn a referral fee when a tool leads to a paid signup. That revenue keeps this site free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is not an official warrant check.
